Hello, I’m Hagen.

I’m an artist and craftsman, a chronicler of life and beauty, an explorer of the ordinary and the extraordinary.

The son of an architect has a passion for design from childhood. He lived his creativity first in painting in drawing, later in the design of building, before photography became the defining creative medium in his life.

In December 2018 Hagen went freelance as a photographer. At the same time he completed his training as a photo desigern at the academy Deutsche Pop in Cologne from April 2019 to September 2020. Supported and inspired by the lecturer Helge Strauss, the autodidact expanded his skills as part of his studies, further developed his visual language and cansequently followed his personal career of recent years.

From the beginning, Hagen put people at the center of his photographic work. His enthusiasm for interesting personalities, exciting projects and epic stories can be seen in evere one of his works.

Starting with the documentary of historical and fantastic events, he has constantly expanded his portfolio – to include people photography, accompanying wedding couples in a reportage style and taking business photos. Meanwhile, Hagen’s work is increasingly focused on the areas of portrait, fashion and editorial.
